19.02.22 – West Ham vs Newcastle – EPL

West Ham’s recent form has not been quite as good as the start of the season as they only have one win in their last four Premier League outings and face a Newcastle side who are on an upward curve. Clean sheets have been an issue for West Ham of late, having conceded 1.57 goals per game and come up against a Newcastle side who are unbeaten in their last five matches. Three of their last four league wins have been by a 1-0 scoreline but they will be missing one of their star players, recent arrival Kieran Trippier who scored in their last two matches. Having looked doomed to relegation the Magpies now sit four points outside the relegation zone and will be quietly confident they can pull off an upset and win two successive away matches for the first time since May.

Match Preview West Ham Utd vs Newcastle Utd

The home side starts with a 59% chance of getting full points compared to the visitors’ 20%, with a 57% probability of 3 or more goals being scored.

19.02.22 – Manchester City vs Tottenham – EPL

League leaders Manchester City put in a superb performance in midweek to thrash Sporting Lisbon 5-0 in their stadium to signal their intent. One might expect a few changes to the line-up in this match but Liverpool are only nine points behind with one match in hand so they cannot afford too many slip-ups and Tottenham on their day can be a tough opponent for anyone. The issue is that no one, least of all manager Conte, seems to know when ‘their day’ is likely to be. They have suffered three league defeats in a row now to put a serious dent in their hopes of qualification for next season’s Champions League. Spurs can take confidence from the fact that they beat City 1-0 on the opening day of the season and, in Heung-Min Son, they have a player who has scored seven goals in his last fourteen encounters with City. Bernardo Silva put in a masterful midweek performance so Tottenham will certainly be hoping he is one to be given a rest in this match.
